Old Oak Secretary with Display
Case
This was rescued originally by my Mom and then stored in a garage for a few
years. This piece was professionally stripped of all stain then returned to me
to
repair the damaged wood and replace the missing and or damaged veneers
then to re-assemble the parts and refinish.
I have always loved this piece and
all the work was well worth it. I do not have the before pictures due to a
previous computer crash
but I do have current pictures I will share with you.

Grandsons helped with this project.

As you can see below the shipping to Texas was not a good one for
this piece.
Missing were the wooden wheels which I am now on the hunt for.

I am using the pieces to make four standing
shelves for my Grandson's rooms
Restoring a Round Top Cedar Chest
With the help of Cow and Jazmine, this is being
done in my bedroom which is the holding room for things to go elsewhere in the
house.
This was originally found 20 plus years ago it was completely black with grime
form storage. When I cleaned it up,
I was delighted to find it had inlaid wood
and was quite beautiful.
Do to moving and storage it needs to be repaired here and there along with a
good cleaning.
It is a solid piece and a treasured one.
